Novel Microfinance Bank Limited was established in 2007 as a Unit Microfinance Bank. The Bank was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on November 02, 2007 and licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria on May 19, 2008. The bank commenced full banking operations at No. 123, Apapa Road, Ebutte- Metta, Lagos in 2009. However, as a result of the astronomical rise in rental cost of the office space at Apapa Road, Ebutte-Metta, Lagos, the bank sought the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria to re-locate the Bank to its ultra-modern building in Ajegunle. On May 17, 2016, the Central Bank of Nigeria approved the re-location of the bank to No.69, Bale Aiyetoro Street, Ajegunle, Lagos and the Bank’s ultra modern building was officially opened to the general public on December 16, 2016.
